Our Mission
We're Building the Trust Layer for Digital Transactions
Trust is broken in digital communication. Deepfakes, social engineering, and identity fraud threaten every organization that conducts business over video calls, phone lines, and messaging platforms. The consequences are measured in billions of dollars lost and reputations destroyed.
Traditional verification happens once — at onboarding or login — and then assumes trust forever after. That assumption is the gap attackers exploit. A single identity check at the start of a relationship cannot protect against the sophisticated, AI-powered impersonation attacks that follow.
Polyguard restores certainty. We provide real-time identity verification that persists across every interaction — every call, every transaction, every access request. Not a one-time check, but continuous confirmation that the person you are communicating with is exactly who they claim to be.
CEO & Co-Founder
Joshua McKenty
Former NASA engineer who co-created OpenStack, the open source cloud platform used by organizations worldwide. Led Piston Cloud Computing as founding CEO before its acquisition by Cisco, and served as Field CTO at Pivotal.
25 years at the intersection of location and identity — from GPS-based network security for the US Navy to authoring the first federal cloud security plan under FISMA. Founded Polyguard to bring the same cryptographic trust that PKI provides for machines to human-to-human communication.
Claudia Martinez
Chief of Staff
Claudia brings an agile project management background with a passion for personal data privacy and a knack for finance. She has cross-functional program delivery experience from fast-moving startups, and keeps Polyguard's product, engineering, and go-to-market teams aligned. Her finance expertise shapes how Polyguard approaches operational efficiency and resource planning.
Richard Reichgut
Business Development
Richard is a business development executive with a strong product mindset, shaped by roles at Pivotal, SUN Microsystems, and in private equity. He takes a product-led approach, connecting customer needs directly to Polyguard's roadmap. His experience spanning enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, and investment strategy gives him a unique perspective on where identity verification creates the most value.
Privacy First
Biometrics never leave the device. Verification happens on-device, not in the cloud. This is architecture, not policy — a fundamental design decision that cannot be reversed by a terms-of-service update or a data breach.
Verification Over Detection
We confirm who someone is. We don't guess whether they're fake. Detection is probabilistic and reactive. Verification is definitive and proactive. That distinction is the foundation of everything we build.
Transparency
SOC 2 Type II certified with an unqualified opinion. Our trust center is public. Our Transaction Affidavits are independently verifiable. We earn trust by being open about how we operate.
Security Without Friction
Verification in under 30 seconds. No new tools for end users to learn. Polyguard integrates into the platforms organizations already use — Zoom, Teams, Outlook — so security happens without disrupting how people work.
SOC 2 Type II Certified
Polyguard has achieved SOC 2 Type II certification with an unqualified opinion, independently verifying our security controls, availability, and data handling practices.
